Trader Joe says: White chicken and vegetables with Massaman Curry Sauce over Steamed Rice. Let sit for two minutes before eating.

Abi says: I only rated this meal three stars because it does not live up to the awesomeness of Chicken Tikka Masala or Cheese Enchiladas and is a little runny for my taste. Yet I was so inspired by the lovely spiciness of this meal that I thought up a new type of cuisine. If there are any investors out there, here’s my idea: a Subcontinental fusion restaurant that brings together the cuisines of India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Mexico. I call it: IndiSriMexiThai. Yes, all of those sections end with an ‘i’.
Featured Dishes:
Tender steak marinated overnight in a spicy adobe-chipotle blend, grilled tableside, served with a drizzled of mango chutney-infused salsa and warm naanChicken Tikka Masala Tamales
Gently seasoned chicken tandoor wrapped in a fragrant masa blend and banana leaves, served with flagons of exotically spiced masala sauce, salsa cruda, and guacamole
Tilapia Veracruz con Columbo
Tilapia surrounded by a generous medley of tropical fruits and vegetables, baked en papillote and accompanied by lentil vadai
Coconut Mushroom Chicken with Pineapple Salsa
Tender chicken breast sauteed in a Tom Kha Gai sauce redolent with lemongrass, lime, and galangal. Finished with a gentle pineapple salsa and thin crisps of grilled tortilla

Smart Ones says: Chunkier sauce makes this tender ravioli dish even more tantalizing. Yum! Pasta filled with creamy ricotta cheese and tossed in a hearty, chunky Italian spinach marinara sauce; a great meal that can be topped off with a luscious Weight Watchers® Smart Ones® Dessert!
Carolyn says: This was an excellent frozen meal. Not hugely filling, but that is to be expected from Smart Ones. The box stated something about the new and chunky sauce, so I was looking forward to seeing what this sauce was really going to taste like. I was pleasantly suprised by many pieces of spinach and chunks of tomato. Good times. The ricotta cheese in the pasta was just right as well — enough cheese to fill my daily cheese craving. I will most likely need to snack again soon, but that is normal for these small frozen meals. I recommend the Smart Ones Ravioli Florentine if you need a cheesy, yet light, pasta lunch.

Lean Cuisine says: Deep dish crispy crust pizza layered with a zesty tomato sauce, garlic and basil, topped with chunky tomatoes and a blend of mozzarella,Romano, Parmesan and Asiago cheeses.
Abi says: One day I’ll learn that pizza shouldn’t come out of a microwave. Today’s lesson came in the form of an edible and unsatisfying Lean Cuisine Margherita Pizza. While I didn’t encounter the sort of assembly trauma that haunted Jess when she made a panini, I still had to deal with cooking my item on a box turned inside out.
Lies: The pizza on the box has 4 times as much cheese as the pizza you’ll actually get.
Truths: Those tomatoes are amazing. I don’t even like tomatoes, but upon pulling the pizza out of its plastic wrapping, I lifted it to my nose to take in the sweet scent of fresh tomato.
Quickly realizing that the pizza was frozen and didn’t smell like anything, I felt embarrassed. I also decided that I would read the ingredient label while the pizza was cooking. Why? So I could check for unnatural tomato coloring. Then I spent time trying to figure out where the heck I put the box. Turns out the box is also the pizza-baking device and I had used it to cook the pizza. Sigh.
Did this pizza contain something along the lines of carmine or cochineal? Alas drama-lovers, the Lean Cuisine Margherita Pizza is mostly made of things that are good for you (plus a bunch of salt).

Baltimore’s NBC station has a real chef taste some frozen meals. He rated the South Beach Chicken Penne as “tasty.” Having had that meal back in 2005, we know better than to trust this guy.
