Lean Cuisine says: Pizzeria-style pizza with a crispy crust from the microwave, topped with a four cheese blend and spicy pepperoni, sausage, roasted bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms
Andrew says: The Lean Cuisine pizza is flavorful and healthy, a lunchtime delight. It will become a staple of my snack and lunch diet.
The top positive characteristic of the pizza is its crisp crust. The silver crisper (part of the packaging) has transformed what would be a cardboard-invoking texture of microwaveable pizza dough into something resembling freshly baked bread! The flavor of the pizza is also enhanced by the fresh and moist pepperoni.
And unlike other microwaveable pizzas, the cheese on this pizza maintains a consistency similar to that of freshly-made pizza. I’m impressed with a microwaveable pizza that can avoid the pitfalls of bad cheese.
Overall- a definite best bet for lunch. One note of caution: this pizza probably won’t provide enough sustenance for a dinner. It’s the portion equivalent of a slice and a half of real pizza (if that).

Kid Cuisine says: Dip and Dunk these cheesy pizza strips in tasty pizza sauce! Our dippin’ strips give cheese pizza a fun-tastic makeover.
Abi says: I was so thoroughly disgusted by this meal that I’m not sure where I should begin in grossing out readers. Wait, I take back the ‘thoroughly’. Once again, Kid Cuisine delivered excellent corn. Corn must be the most awesome microwavable vegetable ever. Nicole occassionally pines over corn. I understand this as it is a pretty terrific food item, but let’s go back to the disturbing nature of this meal.
Why the heck did I choose to eat a Kid Cuisine Pizza Strips meal? A long time ago they went on sale and every few weeks I have to choke one down to make more room in the freezer. I am studiously avoiding the Deep Sea Fish Sticks and the Fiesta Beef Taco Dippers. I don’t know what I was thinking when I bought them. Ok, I know what I was thinking ‘I finally have the chance to eat a meal that I’ve wanted since I was 10 years old!’. Apparently my mom is infinitely wise in not allowing these meals inside of the house.

While I could go on to regale you with the repugnance of this meal, I will simply implore you take a good long look at the photo to the right. That is a tissue full of pizza strip mush. Why would I be showing this to you? Well, I feel that images are sometimes the best warnings. The first photo in this review is far too innocent.
I had to spit that out because I could no longer stand the taste of “fun-tastic” pizza. The consumption of non-candy “fun-tastic” foods is just asking for trouble.
Check out other Kid Cuisine meals I’ve subjected myself to so that you won’t have to spit food into a Kleenex:
Red Baron Deep Dish Single Cheese Pizza
July 5, 2006 | Reviewer: Guest Reviewers
As a lover of pepperoni and sausage it’s not clear why I had a plain cheese pizza in the freezer. Unfortunately, few palatable alternatives existed and cooking a hot meal for one person seemed laborious.

Red Baron says: Now you can get the delicious, premium quality taste of Red Baron from our Deep Dish Singles®. Try all of our varieties: Four Cheese, Special Deluxe, Sausage, Pepperoni, Supreme, Meat Trio, and Vegetable Supreme. They are great as a snack or as a quick meal on the go.
George says: As a lover of pepperoni and sausage it’s not clear why I had a plain cheese pizza in the freezer. Unfortunately, few palatable alternatives existed and cooking a hot meal for one person seemed laborious. A Red Baron Deep Dish Single makes a satisfying small lunch or large snack. Reminiscent of pizzas served at middle school cafeterias throughout the U.S., this thicker, more substantial cousin is characterized by plain sauce but tasty cheese. The silver-coated microwave trays ensure that the crust is crisp and help to melt the cheese at the center of the pizza - the ultimate challenge for any microwaveable pie. Even so, the cheese that oozed over the edges of the pizza became hardened relative to the soupy core. By nature, a deep dish pizza remains hot for quite some time, so it advisable to let it cool for several minutes before consuming (as my burnt taste buds can attest). Overall I was pleased with the substantial amount of cheese, a frequent shortcoming of frozen pizzas, and despite the absence of toppings it is a very good value.
As I enjoyed the last few bites of my pizza, Abi approached me with a cold stare. I knew immediately the sin of which I was guilty and the heavy price I would pay. Since the onset of HeatEatReview, our freezer has been transformed from a home for ice cream and ice cubes to a Mecca of frozen meals. Like a serf picking from the lord’s garden, I had unwittingly eaten Abi’s food and have been indentured to write this review.

Healthy Choice says: We spread a slice of crusty French bread with rich and tasty tomato sauce then top it generously with mozzarella cheese. The result is a great
tasting meal that is also low fat.
Abi says: I got home late from class (10:45pm) last night and really needed something to eat. Unfortunately, George had consumed all of the leftover pizza from the weekend. I would have liked some craved pizza.
After standing before the open freezer for a few minutes (something I would not have been allowed to do as a kid but am now free to do because I pay my own bills) I realized that the best looking pizza in our freezer was also enormous. It was a huge, brick oven something or other. It looked marvelous, but all I wanted was a slice. So, I looked through my freezer for other pizza options. I had a DiGiorno rising crust microwavable pepperoni pizza. I had a Smart Ones microwavable cheese pizza. I had a Healthy Choice French Bread Pizza. No Red Baron. Sigh.

Ok, I’m not sure why I even had to explain my pizza choices there. You already know what kind of pizza I ate, the picture is right there: I’ve got a title up and everything. How was the Healthy Choice French Bread pizza? Bleh.
Yes, it was ‘bleh’.
The crust didn’t get crispy, just hard, and the cheese was an insult to the good name of mozzarellas everywhere. The sauce slammed my tastebuds with loads of High Fructose Corn Syrup. Seriously, I’m not one to knock the wonders of corn, but this was too much of a good thing. Or, depending on your viewpoint, too much of a bad thing.
I’d really like to say that I enjoyed this, as it goes on sale quite often. But I cannot in good conscience recommend that you buy this product.
