Oscar Mayer says: Experience a sandwich that has all the warmth, flavor and fresh baked taste you look forward to, without having to go out. In no time at all, you can create a lunch for one, served with soft warm flatbread, premium cuts of meat, specialty sauces and natural cheeses, all individually wrapped for freshness.
Andrew says: Ordinarily I’d be all for some combination of chicken, ranch dressing and bacon, but this flatbread sandwich falls short of my lofty, pork-driven expectations.
The problem with the execution here is tang. As in too much of it. This is the most tangy ranch sauce of all time and I don’t know what they were trying to accomplish with it. I’m looking at the ingredients list and puzzling over what it is in the sauce that makes it so sour-tart, but I can’t figure it out. All I know is it’s overbearing. It pins the moist, tender chicken pieces to the mat and extinguishes its flavor with its flavor chokehold.
And the shredded reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese doesn’t help much, adding its sharp, cheesy tang to the already incredible tang of the sauce. Frankly it’s not a BAD flavor all together, but it’s not what ranch, bacon and chicken ought to taste like. I couldn’t taste anything but the ranch sauce, which means of course that I COULDN’T TASTE THE BACON.
So basically, the flatbread sandwich lured me in with the promise of bacony flavor with ranch sauce and chicken and dashed my hopes with its ranch tang freak show. For shame, Oscar Mayer. For shame.

“Ranch Tang Freak Show” would make a great band name. Then again, so would, “For Shame Oscar Mayer For Shame.”
I’m so glad someone reviewed this, because I definitely thought it sucked. Also, it is extremely sleazy marketing because you THINK you are getting chicken AND bacon AND ranch. INCORRECT! You are actually getting chicken and “bacon ranch” which is bad ranch with invisible, flavorless pieces of bacon. I was definitely expecting actual pieces of bacon mixed in with the chicken, but, I too was fooled.
They’re way overpriced as well. I’d plunk down a few dollars for a Lean Cuisine Flatbread Melt any day over these. Ugh
I’ve tried these and well… I have to say I wasn’t impressed. But I do have a feeling as to why there’s all the tang. Recently Kraft “updated” all their cream based dressings. I am a lover of Ranch dressing and after one taste of their new recipe, I won’t even look twice at the stuff. It’s got that tang and aftertaste that Miricle Whip leaves in your mouth, that I can’t stand in the least. and where’s the bacon? Why can’t you just stick a few bacon crumbles in a package? It’s not like it can’t be done. It just seems that Oscar Meyer has just gone downhill as far as quality is concerned. It makes me sad that companies that have always been known for quality have started to cheapen their products and raise their prices. All I can say is that I’m very disappointed in this product and the rest of the line.
I actually think they are all pretty good.
Hi Oscar Mayer
We tryed your fully cooked BANON ot sure is salty and greacy to .We probably wont by aney more . Jimmy Deans has got better fully bacon that we have found .bye. Marvin
I thought it was okay. My main complaint was how small it turned out to be. I hardly eat much at all but after this sandwich I was still hungry. It’s much less filling than their “Lunchables” line (which, by the way, is meant for kids).
