Alexia: The wonderful flavor of Sweet Potatoes together with low sodium content make this Alexia favorite a wonderful and healthy alternative to the everyday fry.
Natalie says: Sweet potato fries are my new obsession. They have the same shape as regular french fry, but are made with the “healthier” sweet potato instead. Finding Alexia Sweet Potato Fries in the frozen aisle at the grocery store made me beyond excited. I picked up the package, thinking they were going to be bad for me but I was in for a surprise. They’re only 150 calories per serving and they are low in sodium.
When I got home, I read the back of the bag in more detail. A “serving” is 12 pieces. Twelve pieces of these seemed small (the size and length is slightly larger than a McDonalds French fry), so I spread out a couple more servings on the cookie sheet. I put a batch in the oven and couldn’t wait to try them. After 16 minutes and turning them over a couple times in the oven to make sure all the sides get nice and crispy, they were ready for me. They came out great, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They have very light seasoning and the flavor of the sweet potato really comes through. I’ve always had a hard time making homemade sweet potato fries crispy, so I’ll be using these when I’m in the mood for fries. If you’re a sweet potato fry freak like me, you’ll love these!

I checked out there website and they say they sell them at the Target near me. Who knew Target had frozen Food??
Ooooh, definitely want. I first tasted sweet potato fries at a local restaurant and was shocked that they were so delicious.. shouldn’t have been surprised, as I love sweet potato in just about every form (with butter and brown sugar, as a casserole at Thanksgiving, as a pie…) but I just didn’t realize they worked so well as fries. And low sodium too, very nice.. must figure out the nearest location where these are sold.. (please please don’t be like Trader Joe’s where I can’t get any of their products without driving 6 hours or more…)
Ack! I bought those and hated them. They taste too much like carrots to me. Are they supposed to? I hate carrots :[
My husband and I love, love, love these fries. Don’t let the back of the bag fool you….one bag is two servings
I prefer McCain’s sweet potato fries. They’re almost always on sale for the nice price of $2.50 and less fat but more deliciousness. My boyfriend and I eat the entire bag between us.
MMMM! THese are my old obsession and anyone who has not tried them is seriously missing out!! [I agree..stopping at 12 fries is virtuallly impossible!]
Sweet potato fries are sooo easy to make on your own as well, you don’t need to buy them in a bag, try this homemake recipe http://www.sweet-potato-recipe.com/sweet-potato-fries.html
For the really healthy option don’t fry them, just bake them under the oven grill.
Do you really have an oven and cookie sheet in your break room at work?
Wow you guys haven’t posted in a while… I miss you guys
After seeing these day after day for so long I decided I just HAD to try them. They are fantastic and probably now my new favorite frozen potato item. I do look forward to updates though
I am seeing Alexia Sweet Potato fries in my sleep; the imagine is boring a hole in my brain. Hellllllppppp….
Continuously seeing these Alexia Sweet Potato Fries come up on this blog for nearly a month has about guaranteed the fact that I’m never going to eat Alexia Sweet Potato Fries. Although I’m sure they’re quite delicious.
If you want some spicy fries, shake some cayenne pepper on those bad boys and douse them in ketchup. I eat them that way all the time.
Finally, a fry I don’t feel bad about my kid eating!
I lied. I said I would never eat the Alexia Sweet Potato Fries because I was tired of seeing everyday (sometimes twice a day because I miss Abi and check back often). I bought some yesterday at Safeway, and I must say - they are delicious. I wouldn’t mind looking at them for a little while longer. But just a little while.
Alexia Sweet Potato Fries are ridiculous.
These are so good. Yes, there are only two servings to a bag, but, you know, they’re healthy because they’re not real potatoes, right? Right?
