Lunchables says: Lunchables Mini Tacos includes three soft flour tortillas and seasoned ground beef in taco sauce, Capri Sun 100% Fruit Juice and Wonka Nerds artificially flavored cherry candies.

Abi says: $2.50 is a lot to pay for a Capri Sun, some Nerds and lost dignity. I didn’t know that ground beef could be so finely pureed, which is good to know if I ever have the combination of a feeding tube and a hamburger craving.

    “Cheese = Delicious….Usually.” Hahahahahaha.

I usually read the reviews at work, which I can’t do when there is video, so that was disappointing. HOWEVER… it was so cool to see you do the video review, and you were so funny “in person”! I like this new feature and hope you do more (but intersperse them with regular reviews so I still have something to do at work). Thanks!!!

Paste-like meat product and mozzarella flavored cheese food=taco? It’s a wonder there’s an obesity epidemic if that’s what we feed our kids. But I have to say, I was a little jealous that you a) had an excuse to drink a Capri Sun and b) successfully inserted the straw into that itty bitty foil covered hole. As a kid, I could only do that maybe 1 out of every 4 times.

ok good one i think-not! lol
since hungryman lost both polls of the vid reviews why not make it the 3rd vid review?
    a pity review?! lol!
i voted for hungyman in the polls but didnt win-ok
what about an amys product then? or a frozen pizza review?
how about real food and not kids meals?!!
are the poll results tallied in florida?
plz make the 3rd video review adult food!
i enjoy this website greatly-i check everyday-keep up the good work! thanx

i want to see your reaction to the dove flying into the window!

@DJ - I’m glad you enjoyed the text commentary

@Laura - I don’t think that video reviews will ever overtake written reviews on this site.

@mbbored - The Capri Sun straw issue was the reason I chose to open all of the packages before I started filming.

@dion - I think I’ll have to review a Hungry-Man meal next time, in part because they have a lot of variety.

@Rebecca - The doves have been hanging out around my windows for the last week (they’re building a nest nearby) and I can’t say I was really surprised when it happened. However, I did get up and then sit back down, making the tape sort of jumpy. I’m still figuring out how to edit these.

Screw tradition! I’m going to fuse meat paste and jack-o-lanterns by doling out these to the poor, unsuspecting trick-or-treaters that grace my doorway. Better yet, why I don’t I just harvest the meat packets and hand them out? That should really scare them.

These video reviews are awesome! It’s weird that the tortillas are hard, I wonder why they can’t be soft. All video reviews should have cheese! You know what they say about cheese. Amazing job, and awesome site!

Please keep the video reviews coming–I laughed so hard that my housemate and her boyfriend mocked me for several minutes. I wouldn’t be averse to a Hungry Man (though I’ve voted against twice), especially if you did an onscreen weigh in to see if they’re really 1 LB OF FOOD.

maybe Taco Bell should stock Capri Sun in their soda fountains? cool. And serve everything with packets of beef paste? yes, instead of salt.
Great review. I’d like to see a child’s reaction to that meal. I think Hungry Man will be more satisfying for your hunger and our laughter. can’t wait

  11. Becka on April 29th, 2008

    That was great! You’re hilarious!

  12. Becka on April 29th, 2008

BTW, the music really helped the ambiance!

  13. Sara on April 29th, 2008

All I had to do was see that close up of the “ground” beef. That isn’t even fit for animal consumption!

  14. rob on April 29th, 2008

that was some nasty looking taco beef, looks like it came out of a dog that is suffering from ill health

  15. Gino on April 29th, 2008

Considering you gave it a 1 star review, it didn’t even seem like you really hated the product but, more or less, based the rating on the squeezable beef. The comment about it tasting like cold Taco Bell is spot on though.

Also, you are surprisingly cute (I say surprisingly because, after all, this is a site about reviewing microwave foods).

  16. Crow on April 29th, 2008

    Is that spicy ketchup?

  17. Lisa on April 29th, 2008

The music took me back to my days of living in San Antonio.

It made me want some Taco Cabana.

Then the taco meat puree you squeezed out of that packet made me wish that tacos never existed. It also made me wish that I never need a feeding tube.

TEETH I LOVE YOU, DON’T LEAVE ME

  18. Janette on April 29th, 2008

You’re supposed to microwave it! But seriously I used to eat taco lunchables on occasion… oh 10 years ago and I can’t imagine ever attempting to consume one again

  19. n. on April 29th, 2008

i love the video reviews! keep em coming!

  20. Amber on April 29th, 2008

Don’t hate me because I chose not to consume and review liquid ground beef on a video blog.

And I’m rooting for a Hungry Man video review.

  21. Shann on April 29th, 2008

    poor you…nerds rock though..

  22. Jess on April 30th, 2008

I agree that the dove happening should have made the video. otherwise great work here.

  23. Mom on May 1st, 2008

Love the new vid review! It was worth the wait. Just hearing the first few notes of music got me giggling, telling me I was in for a treat.
I agree, the bird meets window would have been fun to see, as well as your off the cuff commentary.
Loved the fast/forwarded chewing, although I feel a little cheated not getting to see you eat the Nerds at the end.
    Keep ‘em coming. Love, Mom

  24. Rose on May 1st, 2008

whattt, did you not warm these up? that scares me. yes. they would be awful cold..ew.
sure, it probably doesn’t say to warm it up. but you should pop it in the microwave for about ten seconds anyway. these look worse than when I was eating then. I also never had hard torillas.

  25. MM on May 3rd, 2008

    Oh, GACK.

    What a waste of $2.50.

    Pureed cold cow parts. Tasty.

  26. Jessica on May 7th, 2008

It’s been so long since I’ve been to your site (see what happens when you quit your job, and you don’t have to fill 9 long hours). I think this video review rocks! The food, umm, well, you’re grossing me out here. Do people actually feed this stuff to their kids? Anyway . . . I vote for hungry man in the future as well. I’d love to see you start in on one of those 1LB meals!

  27. Jessica on May 8th, 2008

Nothing like laughing loudly ALONE and having your neighbor glance over in fear of my sanity. Great review, much better than the last. Music and the “word blurbs” a great addition. I agree with others that a review of adult food (although still of Fear Factor quality) would be great. Thank you for your sacrifices on our behalf.

Your hot……… who cares about the food
