Lean Cuisine 80’s Commercial

Nonsensically hilarious things in this commercial: funky aerobics moves, enormous portions of Lean Cuisine and guys at the beach who lack all self-control. I’ve seen hot people in my lifetime and they’ve never made me bite a towel. Also, did anyone give thought to what happens to a peach-colored bathing suit when it gets wet?

I know, I expect too much from television.

So is this an actual commercial from the 80s? Or is it one of those commercials that’s fake vintage? I didn’ tknow they had Lean Cuisine in the 80s!

Thank you for my making my morning less stressful… I think I still have a leotard with the belt shoved somewhere in the back of my closet. I love how high they were cut at the legs. Totally rad.

@VeggieGirl – Things I loved about the 80’s: neon, Wham, Thriller, Cyndi Lauper and Madonna.

@Ace – You’d only have to strangle yourself if you were dieting.

@Laura – This is a real Lean Cuisine commercial. According to Wikipedia, the brand was created in 1981.

@Steph – Yes, I think ‘hilariously horrible’ could accurately describe much of the ’80s.

@mbnh31782 – It appears they did.

@rob – You must be talking about commercials like this: Lean Cuisine – 1984 Embedding is turned off, otherwise I’d include it here.

@MaryAnne – It worked because you were supposed to wear colored nylons of some sort under it. Definitely the sort of thing American Apparel is trying to bring back (shudder).

@Jen – But the hair! The enormous hair!
