Video Review #2: Lunchables or Hungry-Man?

March 6, 2008 | Reviewer: Abi Jones

Hey everyone, I’ll be in Austin, TX for the next week attending SXSWi and hanging out with other Internet nerds. While I’m there I’d like to record another video review. I’m not going anywhere near seafood, so you can get that out of your head right now. Instead, I’m offering you the choice of Lunchables or Hungry-Man.

My ideal review item for the Lunchables are the Mini Tacos. In terms of Hungry-Man, I’ll just look for a meal that Nicole hasn’t yet reviewed.

Please participate by voting below. The poll will be available until Monday, March 10.

Voting is Closed

P.S. If you’d like to get a cup of coffee with me @SXSW, just drop me a line via the contact form. We can talk about ramen.

I voted for Hungry-Man and I’d like to suggest the noodles & gravy or veal parmigiana…only because I took a look at the website and those have got to be the funniest looking.

I also voted for hungry man. but c’mon, eat something you might actually like. that one that I think Nicole reviewed. chicken and mmm cheesey fries.

except that I didn’t read and see that you wanted something nicole hadn’t eaten. …don’t eat frozen “veal”

LUNCHABLES! Keep with the kiddie meal theme.

    The last video was rockstar.

Random comment, but am I the only one who thinks the Web site looks “off”? Like, the lists of meals by brand, names, etc. are huge and on top of each other…and other wackiness. Is this permanent? Will I have to download some ridiculous update for a program I never wanted to download in the first place? Am I being punished yet again for still using a computer I got after I graduated high school six years ago?

Oh, and I voted for Hungry Man. I kinda throw up a little inside my mouth just looking at the box in the supermarket.

I’m glad it’s not just me. Something’s up with the website, definitely :(

Amber and Renee - Thanks for bringing the issue to my attention. There was an Internet Explorer 7 related bug. I can see that there’s still some wonkiness on the top (where the food quote and search are) but the site should be considerably more usable now.

I must respectfully disagree with Rose. Veal veal veal veal!

Hungry-man boneless chicken with bbq sauce and cheese fries FTW!

  11. Rose on March 9th, 2008

Bleck, veal. is it real veal? either way. gross.

I’m halfway sure you actually do heat up the taco lunchable, it’s been a while since I’ve had it, obviously, but…when I did, I liked it. and I remember them being warm and gooey.

nooooo hungry man is falling farther and farther behind. just like hilary. =[

  13. Sarah Clayton on March 10th, 2008

WHY IS LUNCHABLES WINNING?! You will die! Don’t do it! Anyone stupid enough to still eat lunchables do not deserve a review on it! Everyone knows! Lunchables is bad!

  14. anastasia on March 10th, 2008

Lunchables is winning because of the hilarity that will ensue if someone actually eats them.

I know I’m late, but I would really love to see you triumph over the Hungry Man Chicken Burritos with Cocada Pudding. Definitely hard to resist. After all: “That’s one pound of full-flavored food!”

I could eat an entire pound of just Cocada Pudding. It’s that good?
