HeatEatReview.com goes Web++

April 27, 2007 | Reviewer: Abi Jones

If you don’t know what Web++ (also known as Web 2.0) means, don’t worry about it. It is sort of like not knowing about Crystal Pepsi or New Coke or why I can’t think of any non-soda trends off the top of my head.

What it really means is that I am going to video-blog (vlog) a meal review. What’s more, I’m upholding the participatory nature of Web 2.0 by asking all of you to select the meal reviewed in HeatEatReview.com’s first ever vlog entry. The results of polling, which was held from April 25 to May 1, 2007 is available below. The Kid Cuisine meal wins.

Poll Results

Thanks to Jill Foster of Living With Geeks for inspiring me to just do this already.

I vote none of the above cuz none of those sound good. Come on–can’t you pick something better???

  2. Abi Jones on April 27th, 2007

I think that a potentially disturbing meal will make for much better video blogging than a delicious and inoffensive one.

Well if you’re really down for masochism, I think the lemon shrimp may have the potential to induce vomiting.

  4. Sam on April 27th, 2007

I went with the garlic shrimp. If it’s anything like the shrimp and angel hair pasta you reviewed earlier, it should make for an interesting review!

    Vote for Hungry Man!

    Go Kids Meal!

I want to see what Abi does with the dessert. Does she accept it as dessert or throw it out and demand a proper dessert like ice cream or half a Twix bar.

  11. Abi Jones on April 29th, 2007

I always eat a proper dessert. I’m dreading that the Kid Cuisine meal includes gummy fish. I hate those things.

Yay Kids Meal! Keep at it!

That was a tough choice, because it’s likely all three are very offensive in taste, smell, appearance…and probably the other two senses, too.

Gooooooo Salisbury Steak Hungry Man! It’ll make for a longer vlog!

I originally voted for the Hungry-Man meal, but I’m really glad the Kid Cuisine meal is winning. I sense more pain and after meal hunger with the Kid Cuisine meal. Actually, next time you should review a Gerber Graduates for Toddlers Lil’ Entrees.

Oh wait, maybe I should review that.

Looking forward to the video! Will we get to see the meal fresh from the microwave?

  16. MaryAnne on April 30th, 2007

I’m excited! This is going to be great. I voted for the Kids meal even though all three seemed like it would produce a good ick factor. Maybe you should film all three in order of popularity because anything with shrimp sounds like it might make you turn greenish.
