Next Week: New Spa Cuisine from Lean Cuisine

March 22, 2007 | Reviewer: Abi Jones

Twice the Veggies of an average Lean Cuisine entree, excluding Dinnertime Selects

The friendly folks at Lean Cuisine’s PR department sent us a box of Lean Cuisine’s new Spa Cuisine entrees and we’ve been on an unintentional diet ever since. Oh, just kidding. I ate pizza for dinner last night. And had a Belgian Sunrise. Take that, diets everywhere!

For those of you who are actually interested in eating healthy or dieting or these adjustments and additions to the Lean Cuisine product line, check out our series, coming Monday, March 26th to Friday, March 30th.

I’ve been buying the butternut squash ravioli. I like it. Lots of crisp veggies.

I too have been buying the squash ravioli…It’s one of my favorites…

I’ve been hearing about these from Hungrygirl and various other frozen foodies everywhere. Can’t wait for the reviews.

This should be VERY interesting as vegetables are not what LC does best. As a matter of fact, they only seem to have meat and noodles down when it comes to rice and veggies, I feel like I’m in an old age home.

    Dudes and dudettes,
I’ve been waiting for a frozen dinner to include butternut squash ever since I had some soup containing said veggie that absolutely blew my mind a while back. I cannot wait to buy the ravioli at my local grocer. I haven’t been this excited about a frozen food since … ever?

I can’t, in good conscience, eat something called Spa Cuisine, can I? Once again, I may have to swallow my pride along with a spoonful of butternut squash.

I’m a little curious how frozen butternut squash will taste. I’ve been eating it for the majority of my life mostly baked in chunks with baked apples and I do enjoy the occasional cup of butternut soup and fresh ravioli from my local Trader Joe’s, but frozen? Hmm….

Rarely do I venture and try a microwaved meal until I see that you girls have reviewed it, but I couldn’t take it any longer and tried the butternut squash ravioli. I enjoyed it very much, but wished there would have been a higher ravioli to vegetable ratio. I am not a fan of peas, but such a fan of butternut squash things that I tried it anyway. I am looking forward to seeing what you think of it.
