(Veggie but not Vegan)
Amy’s Kitchen says:For those who don’t eat cheese, organic elbow macaroni in a smooth sauce made with soy cheese. Lactose free/no cholesterol.
Heather says:Hmm, what to say about this item? First, let me say that I love macaroni and cheese. But this product is not macaroni and cheese, dear readers. No, for it is made with cheeeezzze. Note the “z.” Ridiculous. What is it with soy and vegan items that cause manufacturers to start throwing around weird apostrophes and silly lettering: ch’kn, cheeze, chreese. I mean, really. We’re adults. Stop trying to fool me into thinking your soy product is something it’s not. Silly spelling makes me think of children’s toys (Bratz, for example) and the language of too-cool-for-the-letter-’s’ teenagers. It does not, however, make me think of socially responsible eating and healthy food.
About the product: For all intents and purposes, it tastes pretty much like standard form frozen mac and cheese, but with an aftertaste that might best be described as-um-soy. Honestly, I wouldn’t buy it again. But if you’re lactose intolerant and are dying for some mediocre frozen macaroni product, you might enjoy it.

Zo, itz not very zatisfying or deliciouz? I’ll ztick with the real cheeze ztuff.
No, itz mozt definitely not zastizfying or deliciouz. Oooh, look how cool we are.
I’ll try this meal, just because I already know how much I like processed soy cheese. So much better than American.
They can’t call it “Soy Cheese” because only actual cheese (from milk) can be labeled as “cheese”. Same for chicken, etc. I don’t think “Macaroni & Processed Soy Goo” is a marketable name either
I tried this, and it wasn’t bad. The noodles were a wee bit firmer than I like them, but the sauce is creamy and has a cheesy taste to it. The one thing I don’t like, however, is that the sauce has a very onion-y taste. To tone it down, I sprinkled some Parm on it and it was much better. I would stick to Annie’s Organic Wisconsin Cheddar, which is healthier and sooo much tastier than that neon-orange Kraft stuff. But for a quick “cheeze” fix, I would eat this again.
I like this product but it isn’t vegan. I can’t have lactose and it is lactose free but has another milk protein. I think this product would be more popular if they used vegan cheese like they do in their baked ziti bowl which is far superior to this one actually.
This product is awesome!
