Mac and Cheese Fest 2006

Just in time to keep you warm during winter, HeatEatReview.com will bring you five days straight of macaroni and cheese reviews. Oh, I didn’t say five reviews, I said five DAYS of reviews. And we’ll be giving you three reviews a day. Yes, you read that correctly - 15 reviews of macaroni and cheese in one week. Sure, you might think that’s a little crazy, but this is mac and cheese weather and we’ve got to know what’s good to eat!

Join us, starting Monday, Dec. 11, for five days of nothing but macaroni and cheese.* Yes, perfect for vegetarians! Oh, you’re lactose intolerant? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered too. Yes, we’re going to be trying almost EVERY SINGLE type of macaroni and cheese available for purchase in American grocery stores.**

Sincerely,
Abi Jones
Editor, www.HeatEatReview.com

*Okay, there will probably also be a couple of posts about how I’m sick and tired of eating mac & cheese in preparation for mac and cheese week.

**Please note that I’m not actually reviewing every single type of macaroni and cheese available for purchase in American supermarkets. That would be far more than 15 reviews and I do not have a freezer that big.

You’re insane and I love it.

Oh, you don’t even know how crazy. I have eight completed reviews (thanks Amy and Heather!). Sometime in the next several days I will need to consume/try seven more brands or types of macaroni and cheese. Yikes.

I’m kind of excited to find a macaroni and cheese that I like. I’m kind of anti-mac and cheese because I hate the boxed Kraft versioin and I kind of stopped at that. Find me something delicious (yet maybe slightly nutritious?)!

I hope you reviewed the Weight Watchers frozen mac and cheese. Hungry Girl gave it a really great review. I bought it and thought it was pretty good too, considering how low in fat it is.

Anna- yes, the Smart Ones Mac and Cheese will be featured during the festival. I’ve consumed so much mac and cheese lately that I can’t remember what I wrote for the review.

Are you sure Mac and Cheese is winter food? I’ve never associated it with winter. Or any other season. Perhaps a smidgen with summer, what with Mac and Cheese with sliced up hot dog. I’ve never found a boxed Mac and Cheese that was all that appetizing.
