Lean Cuisine says: Tender slices of roasted turkey breast with gravy over savory cornbread dressing made with celery, onions and herbs. Served with a side of apples simmered in a sweet cinnamon and brown sugar glaze.

Veda says: Lean Cuisine didn’t lie in their description of this meal. The juicy turkey, flavorful stuffing and sweet apples are surprisingly filling and tasty. This meal made wish for an endless Autumn and maybe a slice of pumpkin pie. The only change I would suggest to Lean Cuisine is a little less salt in the gravy. Other than that it is good to go. Oh and added perks? I got this on sale at Giant for $1.50. Can’t beat that!

THIS IS MY FAVORITE LEAN CUISINE. YUM YUM YUM.

I just tried this for dinner tonight and, while I have to admit I snacked on other food while it was cooking (and ate a little rice with it, I was hungry!!) I think it is just fabulous.
I usually eat bigger serving sizes than this, so I am still a little hungry - but with a salad or another side, I think it could def. be a dinner.
It rocks either way. Yummy turkey taste, salty creamy gravy, decent cornbread, and an oh-so-yummy apple dessert!

Now, admittedly, I do hate turkey and am not a big fan of stuffing. but I absolutely hated this meal. even though I did try it two different times.

On a trip the other day to Kroger, I saw one of the cases up front had these on sale, 5 for $11 (if that’s on sale, I guess we really *are* looking at inflation, given the price in the original review).

This is one of the 3 different types I got (chicken carbonara was one and I honestly can’t remember what the other one was… I was just grabbing some stuff to eat for lunch at work).

Anyway, 3 stars out of 5 is a bit of a stretch to me. The turkey was good and the gravy wasn’t watery tasting but the croutons had a taste of a stale crouton that had gotten soggy from the gravy. Just wasn’t the most pleasant of textures or taste. But, since I was about an hour behind my normal 1st lunch time, I didn’t care, I was hungry!

Then came the dessert. The cinnamon glaze covered apples. The glaze was overly sweet and mixed with some slightly tart apple pieces made me think I was eating some Halloween Sweet Tarts or something.

I’ll offer up 2 out of 5 stars and further go on the record that, after this small supply is consumed, I’ll be going back to the non-dessert meals from L.C. (or H.C. or even S.O.)
