Stouffer’s Says: Lime marinated and grilled chicken breast strips in a corn and tomato salsa with spanish rice and chile baked beans.
Nicole says: The cooking time on this meal is 10-12 minutes in the microwave. Wow, that’s a long time to wait for a frozen meal. I have grown accustomed to long wait times for frozen entrees at home, only because I do not own a microwave and have to cook in a conventional oven. But seriously, this is supposed to be fast food.
When the meal came out, the bean sauce was crusted and dry on the edges - stirring made this easy to overlook, and the drier, crustier parts blended in without degrading the flavor of the sauce. It was a very light chile (as in, a bowl of chile versus a chile pepper) type flavor. The real disappointment with the beans was texture. They tasted like they were either undercooked - hard beans aren’t that yummy. The rice was not too dry, and had a nice “spanish rice” spice to it. The chicken was not “strips” but pieces or chunks, of which there were about three the size of a standard bouncy ball and a couple smaller peices - not a large serving. The chicken seemed over cooked - it was a bit hard and definitely dry. The lime-grilled flavor was nice, and the corn-tomato salsa added some veggie goodness and some moisture to each bite.
I’ve been very pleased with the size of Stouffer’s “dinner”-sized meals in the past. This one just barely hit the minimum of acceptable for me, mostly based upon the very small chicken portion. I’m not “full”, but I am not hungry, and do not expect to be for a few hours. I think the portion would please the average adult for lunch or dinner.
Though there were major errors with this meal - namely, small meat portion, overcooked and dry meat, hard beans - I really did enjoy the flavors. This is the reason that I gave this meal three stars.

I realize this post is from a long time ago…but Nicole, it’s “p-i-e-c-e-s” not “p-e-i-c-e-s.” You do this almost every time you write a review, and it drives me nutso. Abi, do you not read this stuff before it goes up?
Oh man, do you realize how many times in each review I have to find and fix that? She doesn’t do is almost every time, she does it multiple times in every review. The problem is that I use a text editor for all of this. No fancy Microsoft Word spelling checker over here.
Ah, I just had this last night. The flavors are indeed decent, but the chicken is unedible, lime flavored carboard.
