Marie Callender says: At Marie Callender’s, we serve our golden-breaded chicken breast with a chunky homestyle marinara sauce, all on a bed of tender linguini.

Carolyn says: This meal was the first non “healthy” frozen meal I have had in a long time. And you can tell the difference. The chicken is fried, and covered in a creamy cheesy goodness. The sauce has some flavor to it aside from the requisite sugary tomato base. Everything in the tray tastes rich That being said, the noodles congregated into a single bland, sticky lump. From that sentence you can probably gather that I didn’t eat much of the pasta. The clumpiness was not aided by being permanently hardened to the edge of the tray due to the 6.5 minutes of required cooking time. The veggies weren’t bad and I could detect a faint amount of seasoning, but not much. I was confused, wondering if this seasoning was meant for the veggies, or was instead supposed to live on the chicken portion of the meal.

Marie Callender’s Chicken Parmigiana is not a bad meal, but there are healthier others I’d recommend before I’d tell you to go buy this one.

I rarely eat Marie Callender’s Chicken Parmigiana because it’s so unhealthy. But on days when I want quick comfort food, I love this stuff. There’s just something about the texture.

I have some sick addiction to this meal. Sometime I truly do enjoy the strange rubbery noodles w/the cheese clumped all around it. I refuse to read the back of the box to see what the product is made of. I’m certain it would ruin everything. Thanks for the review!

The amount of fat and calories in this sickens me! You could have several candy bars or run through the drive thru at a fast food place for “fresh” food in the same amount of time it takes to heat it for the same amount of fat. Today I had Smart Ones Asian veggetables and siroloin beef with 4 grams of fat. I could have had 7 of those meals and still have had less fat. Is it really worth it?

Oops! Sorry, I didn’t check my spelling whatsoever and for some reason the clock is wrong on this thing. I posted at 12:58 PM.

Well, MaryAnne, when you put it the way that you did, it doesn’t seem worth it. That’s why they say ignorance is bliss. Now I’ll never look at this meal the same again.

It’s kind of like Jared in the Subway commercial saying that you can eat 600 subway sandwiches(roughly) instead of 1 quad stacker at Burger King. Sometimes you gotta splurge!

I should take some responsibility for Carolyn’s consumption of this meal. I had purchased it months before and it had been languishing in the kitchen freezer since then. When Carolyn came to work and said ‘Oh, I forgot to bring a lunch today’ I took it as an opportunity to avoid eating this meal myself and still getting a review in the process. So, I gave her this lunch, she gave me a review, and all of you are now in awe of the horrible nutrition content of this meal.

Lol. The funny thing is that I’ve done that too. I’ve bought a not so great meal and left in the freezer at work while waiting for someone to forget their lunch and springing it on them just so I could find out how it tasted. I try to think of it as a win-win situation. I did that with frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwiches out of curiosity. You need to review those…

Hi almost 30 grams of fat. Marie and I used to spend a lot of time together. I certainly can’t say that we didn’t enjoy our time together, but I had to end it. This meal is delicious. The sauce tastes like actual tomato sauce, the chicken is tender but not mushy, the breading stays light through the cooking, and the vegetables taste like …. actual vegetables. Brava Marie - I miss you!
