Before you begin reading this entry, please check out this post from the Best of Craigslist. Don’t worry, we’ll wait for you. Back? Oh, you didn’t click on the link? Click on the link and read the social networking guidelines! Don’t worry, it is safe for work.

With those guidelines in mind, HeatEatReview.com has entered the social networking world. Yes, we have a MySpace page. Two things we have noticed:

  1. Hmmm, there are some cute people in the HeatEatReview.com friend list.
  2. I can’t think of a second part.
  3. Oh yeah, we only have one guy friend. Hmmf.

So, check out our MySpace page and become friends with HeatEatReview.com. Really, I’d like to see who is out there, reading what we’ve been writing.

That craigslist post is hilarious. I’m my myspace page to it. As far as having a Myspace page, good for you guys! I’ll definitely be adding you as a favorite and friend once I get off work and they can’t make fun of me for having a Myspace page in the first place. IMO, Myspace makes it easier to stay in touch and secretly stalk old crushes while taking glee in the probability that they got fat had a kid. It’s the little things that count.

Are you going to post reviews on your Myspace page?

MaryAnne - Every few months I take a little time to go through the best of Craigslist. While many posts are not safe for work, occasionally there’s a gem like ‘MySpace Rules’.

HeatEatReview.com will not be posting reviews on the MySpace page. If anything, we’ll post links to the reviews. Actually, that makes a lot of sense. I’ll do that right now.

After posting two blog entries (aka two blogs, ugh) in MySpace I have decided that I hate, hate, hate MySpace’s look/feel/operations. But, I will still have a profile. Friends are great and I like seeing who reads HeatEatReview.com.

Interesting. You have a myspace friend Colleen who isn’t me.

i’m wit’ you on the “myspace is a pain in the ass” sentiment. i’m sure it’s absolutely intuitive if you’re 15 w/ a whole lot of time to kill. but i can’t be bothered. i do like yr page though - your interests hobbies etc are A+ funny

The MySpace.com mania has to stop. I don’t see any reason for a website to have a MySpace page. It’s not a person, it can’t be trolling for sex. Which is what MySpace seems designed for.

Um, Crow, it’s called ‘exposure.’ It’s also called marketing to your base. Please observe: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/07/12/tech/main1797109.shtml

So, no, it’s not solely about trolling for s-e-x. That’s what people used to say about bars, remember? Personally, I use it to keep up with my friends, who mostly live on the far side of the country. Oh, and sometimes for a little thing people call ‘fun.’ You’re beginning to sound a little crotchety, good sir.
