Ready-to-eat Giveaway #1

September 12, 2006 | Reviewer: Abi Jones

Trader Joe's Chocolate Covered Almonds

The first contest ever on HeatEatReview.com! While we’d love to send you some frozen meals, we’d probably just end up playing with the dry ice and never get the goods to you. Instead, we’ve put together an awesome box of snackably delicious prepared foods from a few of our favorite stores (ok, Trader Joe’s).

How do you win? Just add HeatEatReview.com to your blogroll or put a link to us on your site. After that, comment on this entry with your name, real email address, and a link to your site or that entry. If HeatEatReview.com is already on your blogroll, just leave a note. At 6pm Eastern time on Friday, September 22nd, we’ll draw a winner!

Because you’re listing links in the comments and I’m running Akismet, you’ll have to wait for moderation. Yes, my comment spam filter is super-strong. Just be a little zen while you’re waiting for the comment to post. It won’t hurt, I promise.

The Bad News: This contest is only open to people in the United States and Canada. Sorry, but it costs a lot to send a box of goodies to Iceland. The deadline for your entries is 5pm Friday, September 22nd.

Pleaste note that this is not a ‘healthy’ snack box. It is a snackbox of muy, muy deliciosoness which will be comprised of approximately 50% healthy items. Ok, probably less than 50%.

Okay, what if you just ain’t cool enough to have your own blog? Just because I happen to still reside in the dark ages of the technological world means I don’t get a shot a yummy-snacky goodness?? If that’s the case, I say do away with the contest, give the box to the dude, Marvo over at impulsivebuy.com, that way he can review all the tasty snacks and I can live vicariously through his trials.

Jessica, you’re right. I’m discriminating against the non-blog-holding public. Marvo is more than welcome to enter, though if he wins I might keep all of the delicious things (chocolate-covered nuts, for example) and substitute unusual toiletries and/or makeup products.

i don’t want to influence the judges in any way but, were news you can eat to win, i would send jessica a couple of those choc-cov almonds (the milk chocolate, of course; i’m keeping the dark, b****). and while i’m here, i’ll mention that i also volunteer at a nursing home, look OK in a one-piece bathing suit, and count world peace as my #1 priority.

I’m not eligible, since I’m atravelin’ at the moment, but you know you’re there … http://www.laurafries.com/links

Limited internet access while traveling; I’ve missed the latest on food!

It’s just my livejournal, but my friends do read it, and now they can see your link on the left. Thanks for having the site!

Can we still enter if your link was already there :0) Since chocolate does my tummy wrong - IF I were to win, it’s all yours TG.

  9. Abi Jones on September 15th, 2006

Yes, yes, yes. You can enter! I’ll be contacting the winner to make sure that they’re not deathly allergic to nuts or something like that. It would really suck to win something and be allergic to it.

Um…I just want to let y’all know that if I happen to win this giveaway, I’m totally going to re-prize it and offer it as a prize for an Impulsive Buy prize drawing. Or I’ll just eat the whole thing and get fat.
