Kashi says: Chicken and roasted vegetables over whole grain pasta and topped with fresh tomato garlic basil sauce, parmesan cheese and Kashi® 7 Whole Grain Flakes
Veda says: The Kashi Chicken Pasta Pomodoro was a pleasant surprise. Now, don’t get me wrong, I like Kashi products. However, I sometimes find that they taste just a bit too healthy for me. This was not the case with the Chicken Pasta Pomodoro. These vegetables were crisp and plentiful and the pasta al dente. Plus, Kashi’s sauce would make a Tuscan mother proud. Zesty, slightly spicy and filled with fresh tomato flavor, I’d buy this meal for the sauce alone. Even more of a pleasant surprise, I was full! Way to go Kashi. I’ll definitely buy this one. So, for anyone who likes their healthy foods veiled under tastiness, go with the Kashi pastas. You can’t go wrong with whole grains.

Very good, I was very surprised. I love Kashi cereal and when i saw these frozen dinners in the grocery store I decided to try them. The sauce was very good and the vegetables delicious. I like my pasta a la dente and these were
just right. I’ll try them again. I wish they were low fat though.
6 grams is pretty low fat, and if you eat too little fat, you get the direct opposite of weight loss. its only 280 calories which is what is really important. not sure what the saturated fat content is but its not high, and that is what truly counts.
Everyone keeps mentioning in their “reviews” that the Kashi Chicken Pasta Pomodoro frozen dinner needs more salt. Please don’t add more salt!! I have tried it a couple of times and I like it just the way it is. I was taught to try your food BEFORE you pour salt all over it. I thought Kashi’s goal was to create healthy dishes and promote healthy eating. Most Americans already eat plenty of salt in their diets. It is easier for someone to add salt to their dish, but impossible for me to take salt out of it. Please do not add salt to this dish and let the people who would like more salt pour their own salt on it while those of us who like it the way it is enjoy it!!
It’s okay…It DEFINITELY needs more salt and I’m not someone who salts anything except for potatoes & popcorn. The grilled chicken tastes amazing, but it was a little watery.
I usually love the Kashi meals and thought this one would be great, too. I was very disappointed. My meal (which may have been some assembly-line anomaly) had only onions as an identifiable vegetable. I could taste the peppers in the sauce, but they were bitter. The chicken tasted kind of chalky. I’ll give Kashi big props for apparently mastering the perfect frozen al dente pasta - the penne was terrific. But, I’m eating salad now to get the Chicken Pomo taste out of my mouth.
I don’t know, assembly line food and healthy in the same post. It would be helpful if someone put up a page of recipees which people can cook fresh at home. That would be healthy eating for weight loss.
I did not enjoy this meal at all. gross.
A little watery, but otherwise, wonderful. I love the chopped up veggies in the sauce, and the penne doesn’t have the typically grainy/cardboard texture of many whole wheat pastas. I think this is plenty salty for me.
