Stouffer’s says: Traditional lasagna noodles layered with an herb seasoned tomato and meat sauce and three kinds of natural cheese
Chad says: The traditionally Italian lasagna dinner Stouffer’s attempts to recreate is more on par with the Olive Garden’s pasta dish. This meal is slightly deceptive with the small size of the plastic dish, yet in the end turns out to be 3 separate meals. For the very active (wo)man this is great way to take in a lot of protein (72 grams!!) in one sitting without the feeling of being ridiculously carnivorous.
Stouffer’s lasagna actually happens to be one of my most favorite microwave meals. In less than 15 minutes, you have a meal that truly passes for a good time. If you enjoy immense layers of sauce and cheese purchase this lunchtime favorite. It has never let me down. I also recommend getting the family size which normally acts as two separate meals for me.

Do the instructions for the Stouffer’s say to remove the plastic half way through? IIRC they do and I know the Marie Callender version in my freezer does.
Anyway, be careful putting something with that much cheese and tomato sauce in the microwave so long uncovered. Even on the medium power setting (as per the instructions), without fail my microwave’s a mess if I don’t cover it with something else. I recommend a paper towel or paper plate.
BTW, I now have a lasagna craving. Zap!
Actually, I take back the paper towel thing. Use a paper plate.
We have strict rules regarding the use of paper towels in the microwave. At one point, our boss sent an email about cleaning the microwave and using the remains to feed the starving children of Africa. We’re cleaner now, though I’m sure Veda would beg to differ.
TO THE COMPANY,
I WAS VERY UPSET WHEN I BOUGHT ONE OF YOUR LARGE LASANA WITH MEAT
SAUCE FOR DINNER. I LOOKED ALL OVER THE CARTON AND INSIDE IT TO FIND
ANY DIRECTION FOR COOKING IT. WAS THIS SOMETHING YOU FORGET TO PUT ON THE CARTON? NEEDLESS TO SAY THE LASANA WAS OVER COOKED AND I HAD TO THROW IT OUT.THIS WAS THE LARGE SIZE THAT I BOUGHT.
PLEASE SEND A REPLY TO THIS COMMENT.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE,
MARVIN GRAHAM
It’s better if you leave it uncovered the entire cooking time, so the edges and a bit of the bottom gets a bit crisp and the sauce gets reduced, so much better.
Marvin, you are an idiot……….read the box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
marvin, you can’t read and are an idiot like Brian said… thank you.
Marvin, please turn off the caps and oh…. learn to fuckin’ read you stupid ass motherfucker!!!
