Lean Cuisine says: Chicken breast scallopini topped with a robust tomato sauce accented with basil, onion and garlic. Served with hand- layered three-cheese lasagna rich with ricotta, romano and parmesan cheeses.
Abi says: Lean Cuisine’s chicken scaloppini is the white-meat version of chicken-fried steak. Substitute runny tomato sauce for gravy and you’ve got yourself a main course. I must have been very hungry, because I managed to ignore the soggy breading and tasteless chicken and eat this meal in less than five minutes. Ok, I didn’t eat the hardened, yet rubbery chunks of lasagna that had been superglued to the plastic tray, but I did eat ALL of the chicken, two patties about the size of Wendy’s Hamburger Jrs.
What’s the ‘take-home’ from today’s lesson? Breaded items and microwaves are not friends. The meal deserves only two stars, which puts it in the same class as Stouffer’s Fish and Thai Kitchen Pad Thai. If you’re looking for a good Lean Cuisine meal, I suggest Orange Peel Chicken or Sweet and Sour Chicken.

“What’s the ‘take-home’ from today’s lesson?” … hilarious
It looks like I’m still a teacher at heart.
You have a problem with Salisbury Steak, but you eat “chicken-fried steak?”
I never said I eat chicken-fried steak. I just noted the similarities between the two items, which are both breaded meat products.
That’s a lesson I wish I’d read before I tried this one earlier today.
