Lean Cuisine says: Deep dish crispy crust pizza layered with a zesty tomato sauce, garlic and basil, topped with chunky tomatoes and a blend of mozzarella,Romano, Parmesan and Asiago cheeses.

Abi says: One day I’ll learn that pizza shouldn’t come out of a microwave. Today’s lesson came in the form of an edible and unsatisfying Lean Cuisine Margherita Pizza. While I didn’t encounter the sort of assembly trauma that haunted Jess when she made a panini, I still had to deal with cooking my item on a box turned inside out.

Lies: The pizza on the box has 4 times as much cheese as the pizza you’ll actually get.
Truths: Those tomatoes are amazing. I don’t even like tomatoes, but upon pulling the pizza out of its plastic wrapping, I lifted it to my nose to take in the sweet scent of fresh tomato.

Quickly realizing that the pizza was frozen and didn’t smell like anything, I felt embarrassed. I also decided that I would read the ingredient label while the pizza was cooking. Why? So I could check for unnatural tomato coloring. Then I spent time trying to figure out where the heck I put the box. Turns out the box is also the pizza-baking device and I had used it to cook the pizza. Sigh.

Did this pizza contain something along the lines of carmine or cochineal? Alas drama-lovers, the Lean Cuisine Margherita Pizza is mostly made of things that are good for you (plus a bunch of salt).

Ahh, I have this very pizza in my freezer right now. While I’ve yet to try it, and only after I bought it realized it had the most toxic ingridient ever that is ONIONS on it, I’m pleased to find that the tomatoes are satisfactory. What I do reccomend is Lean Cuisine’s Spinach and Mushroom Pizza. It’s meatless, and although the mushrooms do have a bit of a funny aftertaste, it helps kick my cravings for the fattier version. If you have the time to make a quick pizza, I’d reccomend using a whole-grain tortilla, Bertolli Organic Tomato Basil and Olive Oil sauce, Veggie Shreds mozzarella, and fresh veggies. Yum.

I just had one for lunch, and it’s not my first time eating a Lean Cuisine. I’m a pizza fanatic, but in trying to stay healthy I eat these to satisfy my cravings from time to time. No one should ever expect the healthy version of anything to be as delicious as a full fat version. For a healthy, lower fat version of pizza, this is the best there is. It’s our addictions to the taste of fat that cause us to crave fatty foods and in turn make us fatty! Blander tastes aren’t a bad thing; eat to live, don’t live to eat!

LOVE this pizza! i don’t like tomatoes but on this, they’re small enough to eat without really thinking about them. the pizza is really flavorful and while it doesn’t crisp up as much as i’d like it to, it’s still good enough for coming from a box.

Hmm. I had this for lunch today and definitely agree with your review. Okay, but not great. Not all that satisfying. However, the crust was nice for a microwave pizza. I have liked some of their other varieties better.

I have to disagree, you don’t even notice the onions… it just gives a small flavor variation. But I found it very suprising that no one really mentioned the cheese. That cheese is a little less melty, a little more crumbly… but it’s good. Very different.

Everyone should give this pizza a try once.

I have SEVEN of these pizzas in my freezer right now! I eat just about one of these per day at work. I’m a big time pizza eater; frozen, fresh, low-fat, DIY, what ever, I LOVE pizza. These truly are the best low-fat microwave pizzas I’ve ever had. You can’t beat the garlic and basil on these things!

I really didn’t think I’d like this pizza but my sister said she did so I gave it a try. When I unwrapped it I thought it needed a bit more cheese so added just a little more. I was pleasantly surprised by the very good taste. I have already bought another one.

I guess you are not supposed to put lean cuisine in the oven but I do. Makes the pesto chicken flatbread, french bread pizza, and this pizza pretty awesome. i like stuff crispy, microwave not an option. i hardly ever use one.
