Simply Asia says: Pure rice noodles in a aromatic vegetarian chicken soup broth with a crisp sesame flavor.
Abi says: This is glorified ramen. Ramen with powdered vegetable protein. This meal is not worth $1.49, but if insanely hot (temperature, not spicy) noodles with a suspect packet of fake-chicken-powder are your thing, then you’ll love this meal. Yum: colorful dehydrated vegetable flakes and yellow powder.
When I purchased this meal, I did not realize that it was for vegetarians. It could be for vegans, but it contains milk in the form of whey. Sorry vegans, you’re missing out on a chicken-flavored treat!

I think these Asian noodle mixes are delectable and a great quick meal for when one is too busy to cook, too tired to cook, or just plain not in the mood to cook. A standby of mine for lunch. I would give this product 5 stars if I was in the review staff of this site
I love Simply Asia rice noodle bowls. They don’t taste like authentic asian food but it still wasn’t a nasty like I expected the first time I bought it. I would love to try the other products from Simply Asia. Beware though all of SA’s rice noodle bowls taste the same. I’ve tried all. I was disappointed though that the food didn’t look like how it was on the box but other wise I’m a fan. Also only eat rice noodles with this because I’ve had them by itself not in the soup and eating with some sauce and chicken is very bland.
Had the Simply Asia noodles (sesame chicken) for the first time ever today. I was looking for something I could pop into the microwave for a quick lunch to quiet my hunger pangs and didn’t expect much in the way of flavor. It required more prep than most microwave meals — four pouches to open and 6 ounces of water to be measured! — and I was a little disconcerted to see the noodles were pre-cooked. But all in all I was pleasantly suprised. There was definitely flavor, and even a hot red pepper in one bite that had my eyes watering. I’ll definitely do it again.
I just tried the Spicy Kung Pao noodles for the first time today. I feel like I could puke a little in my mouth. The combination of spaghetti, vegetable flakes and dairy queen-style peanut flakes seemed ok at first, but soon left me feeling more than a little queasy.
I admit that I don’t often eat this kind of food. But if you want microwave meals, I recommend the Tamarind Tree brand…delicious, savory, quick and filling.
man at first i never knew how to make them and now i know
