Green Guru says: Tangy and Spicy, stir fried rice noodles mixed with select vegetables and tofu, prepared with spices, tamarind and ground peanuts.
Abi says: There is a mushroom in the picture. There was also a mushroom (a whole one!) in the meal. I took it out before cooking because I don’t like mushrooms. Thus, this image is not accurate. Inaccuracies aside, this is the best frozen meal I’ve had in weeks. In honor of April being National Poetry Month (thanks Slate.com) here is a haiku:
wafts over cubicle walls
coworkers jealous

[…] While I appreciated the fact sheet about lemongrass, I could not detect any lemongrass in my meal. In fact, all I could detect was the slightest scent of tamarind. Thai Kitchen’s Pad Thai is Vegan, sugary, and unsatisfying. I will stick with the Peanut Noodles and other superior vegan meals. If you’re in 7-11 and compelled to purchase a Thai Kitchen noodle item, go with the Peanut Noodles. […]
I really don’t know what you were thinking, but this stuff was sweet enough to be a dessert. I don’t expect gourmet quality from a frozen meal, but this load of TONS OF SWEET was really over the top. It does smell good, so the coworkers do get jealous. But one bite, and my throat was in pain from the amount of sugar. Meanwhile, the tofu had the texture of a sponge and the toughness of rubber. Never again.
