Lean Cuisine says: Corn tortilla wrapped around chicken, onions and green chilies. Topped with a sour cream sauce and shredded cheese. Accompanied by a side of rice seasoned with green chilies, red peppers and corn.
Abi says: First, please note that the sentences above are incomplete. Second, please note that this meal is untasty. Yes, I said untasty.
The pinkish mashed chicken blend wrapped in a surprisingly fragrant corn tortilla is flavorful and enticing. Unfortuntely, the eater will get approximately 1 tablespoon of mashed chicken. The rest is sour-cream sauce, which doesn’t belong anywhere near an enchilada. The ’seasoned’ rice is a completely soggy loss. If I could put air-quotes around ’seasoned’ then I would. I think that the single quote comes closest. Random corn kernels and blips of red pepper don’t make up for this flavorless waste of space.
I don’t like swiss-style enchilada sauce, so I’m probably not the best person to review this meal in the first place, though I was hungry and I didn’t want to spend my money on another soy chai at Starbucks. Now that I’ve finished the enchilada and am not eating the rice or sauce, I will probably buy a soy chai. So much for that abstinence-from-Starbucks plan. I paid $2.00 for a single enchilada in a microwaved sour cream sauce. I hope it was a great sale.
Later: Yeah, I got a soy chai.

I just came across your site today and am finding it to be the highlight of my work day thus far. As an occassional frozen dinner eatter (I try to watch the sodium) I actually find this is a fav. It’s five weight watcher points and though I have to cook it a little longer than the box dictates, I’ve found it decent enough, as far as frozen lean dinners go! Though I do often have the enchilada part so hard that I pick it up and eat it like a stick…maybe it’s not that good and I’m just THAT hungry sometimes…HEART
I just heated this up and I have to say that I disagree, Abi. I liked the sauce and I found it kind of nice that LC went to the trouble of shredding the chicken like in real enchiladas. The rice, though certainly not a flavor explosion, was a nice compliment to the meal and tasted good when dipped in the extra enchilada sauce. And, most impressively, when you eat the rice this meal is super filling. I almost couldn’t finish it, but then made myself out of principle. I was not to be bested by a Lean Cuisine meal. Please. One thing to note is the strange sensation of eating hot sour cream. That’s weird. My mouth was confused. Still, I’d give it 3 and 1/2 stars, though I’m thinking that you may just have higher enchiladas standards than I do. Remember, I’m the girl that put a black bean burger in pasta…
This is one of my favorite Lean Cuisine meals. I really love the flavor of the sour cream sauce and cheese topping. The rice was also very tasty. I only wish I could duplicate this recipe at home because it is so good I could make a large portion and have left overs. 5 stars

Abi may have over-cooked this LC. I made the mistake of cooking at full power for 9 minutes (instead of 50% power for 9 minutes as directed on the box) and it was DISGUSTING. I am going to try this one again and cook properly to see if it is still gross.
Is the sauce supposed to be light green before you cook it? It isn’t green in the picture on the box.
It really wasn’t bad and grew better after the first bite or two. The best thing about this LC was that it was filling and only 5 points. I’d rate it a little higher than Abi but certainly not go out of my way to buy it again!
I couldn’t really discern any chicken in this meal. I suppose it was there because Lean Cuisine says it is, but it was difficult to notice it as the contents of the enchilada seemed like…mush.
The meal was tasty, but I am not a picky eater and possibly would purchase again. I was dissatisfied completely with the chicken in the tortilla, as it did not appear shredded like the picture on the box. This was very deceiving as I could not find ANY chicken that looked like this in the meal. I google searched this meal just to make sure I was not the only one that had this problem!
this is my favorite frozen lunch. in fact, it’s pretty much the only one i ever eat, because i have issues with rubbery, microwaved chicken and the shredding totally eliminates that issue. i eat this at least once a week, but i like to mix some of the sauce in the rice, and then i eat the whole thing with tortilla chips for scooping. so good.
