Lean Cuisine says: Sesame breaded chicken tenderloins in a zesty orange sauce with a rice medley and broccoli florets

Carolyn says: Let me just say that this was the most magnificent frozen meal I have had in a long time. This was much better than the Lean Cuisine I had yesterday. One factor that turned it into goodness was the vegetable selection. Carrots, peppers, and broccoli – much better than the soggy green beans from yesterday. The carrots, peppers, and broccoli were crisp and plentiful. The chicken was the best part of the meal, somehow Lean Cuisine got away with appearing to have fried chicken in their meal. Very sweet with the orange flavor, there were six or seven larger pieces of chicken. The sauce did a good job of flavoring the whole meal with a nice sweet sauce.

There was no desert with this meal, but the sweetness of the sauce made up for it. Overall, I can honestly say this is the best frozen meal I have had in awhile, in that ‘out of a box’ category. Definitely recommend it.

I give this 5 stars also. Easily, one of my favorite frozen entrees of all time. I would eat it even if I weren’t on a diet.

I ate this during class last night. While I found the sauce too sweet (and I like sweets), I did enjoy the portions. I was full! Also, the rice was the best Lean Cuisine rice I’d ever had.

This is certainly my favorite of the Lean Cuisine meals. Our local Supermarket just had a sale where you could get Lean Cuisine meals for $1.81, and I bought them out of Orange Peel Chicken. It’s so good!

I love sweet and sour chicken, lemon chicken, and generally any meat that has a sweet or fruit glaze on it. I’ve had many tv dinners with these same attributes. I just have to say that this is by far one of the WORST meals i have had. That’s saying something. I know i’m not following the general opinion here. I dug right into the chicken first and while the chicken was plentiful so was the sauce. Which was absolutely horrible. If it was just sweet then it would have been no problem, but it had this aftertaste to it that’s similar to having a spoonful of ultra sweet cough medicine. I was scooping up spoonfuls of the delicious rice and veggies just to cover up the taste. My father who is also an avid tv dinner fan feels the same way. The next time i’m in the frozen food aisle i know to pass this one by.

I didn’t think this was too sweet, and it had a nice orangy taste and the rice was really good. The chicken was blah and mushy, in fact, I had a hard time distinguishing the batter from the actual chicken. The broccoli was good, but I only had 3 florets. But for a box that says “30% more food”, this was the emptiest “plate” I’ve ever seen. The bottom of the plate was barely covered with food. Maybe I got the tailend of a run?
